I’m always impressed and often surprised by the power of finding the right open question, how it can inspire a sudden spark of fresh understanding, enabling people to find new ways to approach familiar frustrating and seemingly intractable problems. It’s also a joy to hear the everyday changes people make as they take Action Learning into their work and life through deeper listening and open questioning, enabling them to work more effectively and build better relationships.

In the late 1990s I was offered an Action Learning taster. I saw how it brought together my person-centred values and enabled a rare collective reflective space. It works incrementally over time, offers safety for challenge and has real, practical impact on behaviours, learning, and building more meaningful connections that enable people to take risks and navigate complexity.
