Learn the principles, process and skills required to set up, develop and facilitate Action Learning Sets. 

Action Learning Facilitation Essentials Online  

On this course you will develop the core facilitation skills, gain the know-how and experience to confidently facilitate Action Learning Sets.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Explain the Action Learning process, theory, roles and core principles

  • Describe the purpose of ground rules and use appropriate interventions to establish and maintain them

  • Set up, manage and facilitate Action Learning Sets

  • Demonstrate the key skills of an Action Learning Set facilitator

  • Support set members develop core questioning, listening and problem solving skills

  • Confidently facilitate Action Learning Sets

The course structure mimics that of the Action Learning cycle giving you a first hand experience of the process of Action Learning and plenty of opportunities to practice.

Course structure

This comprehensive course, delivered virtually on Zoom, consists of:

  • 6 half day (3.5 hrs) sessions

  • 1 self-facilitated (3 hrs) session

  • A webinar on ‘How to design and set up Action Learning programmes’ (2 hrs)

  • Question Bank pack and hardcopy course manual

  • A dedicated course page consisting of session recordings, resources and additional content.
