Join Jane and Suri, both seasoned action learning set facilitators, as they honestly reflect on how they have shown up in an action learning space, specifically designed to address issues of race equity and building an anti-racist practice and what they have learnt along the way.
They will share from a personal lens – who are they as individuals and how did they arrive at this point?
They will explore the facilitator lens – one being a white facilitator, and the other being from the global majority. What are their beliefs, assumptions and biases as they step into different groups?
They will also bring in the practical lens – what do they notice about action learning as a tool to support these conversations and deep work? Where might it hinder or perpetuate bias?
As race equity remains an important headline globally, they’ll consider the commissioning process. Where are organisations being brave and courageous? Where does the power lie? What agency do we have as facilitators and what must we pay attention to?
In the spirit of curiosity and learning you will have the space to reflect on your own practice and experiences alongside Suri and Jane.
